Thanksgiving for the artist and his art, John Badger.

Badger Art Show

John Badger was born in Dubuquq, Iowa on October 1, 1945. He attended college and received a Bachelors degree from Loras University with a major in art and psychology. From there, he received a scholarship to attend the Los Angeles Art Center and eventually received his Masters degree from California State at Long Beach [1968]. Badger honed his craft during these 20+ years through teaching and seminars and kept busy with extensive restoration projects. Eventually a project sent him to New Mexico where he lived for a few years restoring a 350 year old compound.

Badger came back to the Midwest in the early 90s initially to Dubuque because he owned a home here to further exploit his restoration prowess. Then in ’95 he chose to settle and where he currently resides in Galena, IL in a period style home dating back to the 1800s.

John Badger was blessed with two children, Jana Higgins and Jason Badger, and four grandchildren: Sydney and the Triplets! You can spot Badger working on his next masterpiece most days while his trusty companion, Mason the Beagle, waits for a snack to drop.
